Coming soon! UPDATED MAY 18 INFO!

On Friday, May 19, UWL will host its second annual Midwest Active Transportation conference. Because bus rides begin and end with a walk or bike ride (or other active transportation), public transit is also considered to be active transportation.

On Thursday evening, May 18, we will hope to meet up with Susan De Vos of Madison who is president of the Wisconsin Transit Riders Alliance for talk about public transportation issues near and far, sharing of ideas, and other useful chit chat!

More details on the May 18 get together will be posted as soon as possible. Please check back!

DATE: Thursday, May 18

TIME:  7:15 to 8:30 p.m.

LOCATION:  Birchwood Room, Black River Beach Neighborhood Center

WHAT: Meet and greet with Susan De Vos, president of the Wisconsin Transit Riders Alliance who will be in town to present at the May 19 Midwest Active Transportation Conference. This will be a chance for La Crosse area public transportation advocates to meet and talk with her about how we can support and push for better programs and infrastructure in our state's current car/road-building centric political climate. We'll also try to settle on a next meeting time so we can begin organizing our own La Crosse Area Transit Advocates. If you can bring some snacks or dessert, please do.

RSVP PLEASE!
